John Bateman is a professional rugby league player who is currently contracted to the Bradford Bulls of Super League.
John hails from Bradford and is a product of the Bulls Junior Development system. His favoured position is at Second Row. Bateman was offered a full time contract with the Bulls whilst he was at Bradford Dudley Hill, he went to the Bulls after many offers from Super League and NRL teams.

2011 - 2011 Season
Bateman featured in three of the four pre-season games. He played against Halifax RLFC, Dewsbury Rams and Keighley Cougars. John scored tries against Halifax and Cougars.
Bateman made his Super League debut in Round 12 (Catalans Dragons). John then played in Round 25 (Wigan Warriors) and in Round 27 Wakefield Wildcats. He did however play against Halifax RLFC in the Challenge Cup. He scored a try against Wigan Warriors.
2012 - 2012 Season
Bateman featured in one of the five pre-season friendlies. He played against Castleford Tigers.
